pyrargyrite; fine crystals showing scalenohedron and rhombohedron forms
JAMESON,Robert 1810 821
From William hunter's original bequest,. Has an adhering label bearing the number "1." (over which the Jameson catalogue number 821 is stuck), which looks like a Jacob Forster dealer one, but it doesn't match any item number 1 on any of the surviving bills . Very fine. May well be from St. Andreasberg, in the Harz mountains of Germany.
