We have tried to ensure that all pages on huntsearch.gla.ac.uk are accessible to as wide a range of users as possible, and are compatible with assistive technologies for disabled users.
We have provided audio and/or video files to supplement the information about a very small number of objects in our collections. At this time, these multimedia files are not available online in any alternative format, although we hope to provide this in future.
If you cannot access a multimedia file on this site, please contact John.Faithfull@glasgow.ac.uk, giving details of the object or multimedia file you are interested in, and we will try to provide you with the information in an accessible format.
The information provided on this site is taken directly from our own internal database of objects in our collections. Since this is a very large database of specialist information, which is constantly being updated by many people, the data will unavoidably contain specialist terms and abbreviations.
We are continually working on improving and clarifying the information provided about objects in our collections, and wherever possible commonly used abbreviations in the data have been expanded.
If you want to know more about a particular object, email one of the staff mentioned at the foot of your search results page, giving the object's museum number and brief details.
We have provided good-quality colour images of many of the objects in our collections. Since we aim in these images to accurately reproduce the colours of the original object, we cannot guarantee that the contrast will be sufficient for users with colour deficits.
We are hoping to continue to make improvements to the accessibility of this site over time, and would welcome any comments and feedback you may have. Please send these by email to John.Faithfull@glasgow.ac.uk
