In 1903-4 Miss Cranston and her husband Major Cochrane invited Mackintosh to redecorate and furnish interiors at their home, Hous'hill, Nitshill Mackintosh returned to Hous'hill in 1909, to design furniture and fittings for a new Card Room. The tables had plain wooden top, quartered and hinged along each side, which, when opened, provided a large playing surface. The top was covered in green baize. In the centre were four square panels, decorated with inlaid mother of pearl.
Scale, 1:12 and full size.
