This is Mackintosh's version of a chair he designed for a Mrs Rowat, 14 Kingsborough Gardens, Glasgow. It is a particularly elegant chair, with slender arms and legs. It is the only known occasion on which Mackintosh used leather upholstery. The image shows the item on public display in The Mackintosh House at the Hunterian Art Gallery.
