This handsome desk contains silvered copper panels designed and beaten by Margaret Macdonald. The panels show stylised female figures representing old and new styles of writing. The desk has doors at the sides that give access to shelving and storage for papers and drawings. The images shows the item on public display in The Mackintosh House at the Hunterian Art Gallery.
