Notes:
The table is a cunning combination of straight and curved lines: notice the arched 'apron' or face at the front that offsets the straight lines of the shelf, top and side panels. Mackintosh has also introduced oval cut-outs in the sides to enrich the liveliness of the design. The image shows the item on public display in The Mackintosh House at the Hunterian Art Gallery.
