The panel was exhibited in Vienna, at the eighth exhibition of the Vienna Secession, as part of a firescreen and subsequently displayed, framed, on the drawing room mantlepiece at 120 Mains Street. It is related to Frances Macdonald's metal cover for The Chrismas Story (GLAHA 41255). The panel is signed and dated at bottom right. It shows a female figure in a state of ecstacy, flanked by two children and rosebuds. The panel now hangs in the reconstructed bedroom of The Mackintosh House.
