Notes:
To heighten the decorative effect, Mackintosh would, as here, overlap outline details of the plant. The ivy-leaved Geranium is the commonly cultivated greenhouse or houseplant Pelargonium peltatum. There is a highly stylised rosebud beneath the cartouche.
