This is a preliminary sketch for W.J. Bassett-Lowke's dining room at 78 Derngate, Northampton. Much of the dining room furniture was thought to have been designed by Bassett-Lowke himself, with Mackintosh primarily dealing with the overall decoration, including fittings and lighting.
