Notes:
Mackintosh produced designs for the Glasgow publisher, R. Maclehose at his home, Westel, in Glasgow. Mackintosh was responsible for designing the second floor bedroom. It included a dormer window and adjoining bathroom. This was his first recorded 'white room' . The house still exists but the room has been dismantled. Furniture and fittings from the room are held in the Hunterian - for further details enter Westdel into Keyword search. The metal bands on the cupboard echo those on the wardrobe, however the design, which Mackintosh finally adopted, can be seen lightly sketched in on top of these.
