inscr. in pencil c.r "Note / To be made of oak / in two pieces with base and cornice as binders / estimate to include for two locks- / 6 pairs polished steel hinges / and 4 slip bolts"; inscr. in pencil b.l. "Trays to be made to fit into frame with sides / and top like chest of drawers. The whole thing to be movable so that it can be taken out of wardrobe for cleaning"; inscribed with various other notes and measurements

Notes:
Mackintosh created was a serene, white interior for the bedroom at his home, 120 Mains Street. The wardrobe was highly sculptural, with stylised bird motifs on the doors.
