6 Florentine Terrace, Glasgow: design for new windows in drawing room and hall 1906
DES MACKINTOSH, Charles Rennie; (Scottish; 1868-1928)
pencil on brown tracing paper
44.4 x 76.3 (irregular)
inscr. in pencil b.l. "6 Florentine Terrace Hillhead Drawing of new window in Drawing Rm"
See GLAHA 41832. Mackintosh opened up the south-facing gable of the end-terraced house by inserting new, larger windows at ground and first-floor level to provide more daylight for the hall and drawing room. This drawing was probably done to Mackintosh's specification by an assistant in the Honeyman, Keppie & Mackintosh practice.
