Notes:
See GLAHA 52877. This illustrates 'Golden Wings' from William Morris's 'The Defence of Guenevere and Other Poems'. The poem describes a woman named Jehane who waits in vain for her lover to come, but eventually kills herself in despair. However, the person in the boat is not Jehane, but her lover. How and why he came to be dead in the boat is not explained in the text.
