Design for a frieze 1890s
CRE MACDONALD, Frances; (English; 1873-1921)
black chalk and watercolour on grey paper
76.5 x 325.4
Two lengths of this design are held in the collection - see GLAHA 41973, and two others are known. They probably formed a frieze, for either the Macdonald sisters Glasgow city-centre studio, or for Dunglass Castle, the home of their brother, near Glasgow.
