This and all of Howarth's other letters were sent to McNair care of his sister, whith whom he was staying. Her address appears in the top right corner of every letter McNair writes. He stayed with his sister until she died, and then moved into an old people's home at Inellan, where he died in 1955. (Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Annual Report and Bulletin, Vol. 1, 1970, pg 66)
