Notes:

This is the final design in a series of proposals for a service trolley, sideboard and coffee table for W. J. Bassett-Lowke, at 78 Derngate, Northampton. The coffee table and service trolley are almost identical to the executed pieces. The sideboard design has been altered; above this design is a pencil sketch outlining the previous layout. Earlier drawings show that Bassett-Lowke also requested Mackintosh to reduce the number of drawers of the sideboard from five to four and for the cupboards to have single doors rather than double. However, these aspects have not been changed in this final design.
